PUPPY SOCIALISATION CLASSES

About The Avenues Veterinary Centre Puppy Parties
The Avenues Veterinary Centre are running classes which provide you with an opportunity to socialise you pup.

Early in life all animals experience a 'sensitive development period' where they learn to accept what they encounter for the first time. In pups this period last until about 16 weeks of age.

After this time unfamiliar objects/experiences can evoke a fearful reaction. Early socialization is an important step in preventing behavioural problems later in life. It can make the difference between a happy, loving dog or a fearful dog which may display aggression.
The classes will offer your pup a chance to play with other puppies there own age as well as meet different people of varying age groups.

The four weekly session will involve some basic training and handling along with informative short talks on Socialisation, Nutrition, Parasite
control, Neutering, microchiping and examining your puppy.

As the classes are run on the premises it encourages your pup to associate the vets as a place of FUN, FUN, FUN rather than a place to fear. It also allows our nurses a chance to have a wee cuddle!

On graduation your pup will receive a certificate for all their hard work, a discount voucher for microchipping, and a flea control sample.

The classes are run on a four weekly rota every Thursday evening between 6-7pm by our Veterinary Nurses Emma, Linsey and Lisa. Call 0141 643 0404 to book your place.
